About RPM Guiding

RPM Guiding is run by Ric and Kate Potter. Ric is a British Mountain Guide (UIAGM/IFMGA), so does most of the guiding (and some of the office work) and Kate runs everything else. We are a small company, often it's just Ric doing the guiding, but sometimes other Guides work with us too.

We are based in Argentiere, close to Chamonix Mont Blanc, in the French Alps, which is arguably the mountaineering and skiing capital of the world. Previously we were based in North Wales (UK), and even had a short period based in Aviemore in Scotland.

Our aim is to provide professional guiding and instruction without losing the adventurous spirit of amateur climbing, so that it's enjoyable and fun, but also challenging and with a high level of safety. We've been operating since 1996.
