Anyone who has been downhill skiing for a number of weeks, and is confident on red and black runs will enjoy getting away from lifts and seeking out untracked snow and amazing scenery.  After some basic safety training it is possible to enjoy some of the greatest off piste in the world, either accessed directly from the lifts or by ski touring into backcountry areas and remote valleys and mountains.

I offer both off piste ski guiding and ski touring in the Alps each season. This can be in the form of individual days  booked privately, or a guided week for your  group or family, or an ‘open’ trip that is available to all-comers where you can join in with an existing group. With open trips I try very hard to make sure groups are compatible.  The open trips are usually packages including accommodation and are normally some of the more popular weeks such as an intro to ski touring, or the Chamonix to Zermatt haute route or some of the trips I run to other destinations outside the Alps.

I also offer crevasse rescue, navigation, mountaineering skills for skiers and avalanche avoidance, either in the form of courses or training for individuals.
