Chamonix has some of the finest backcountry skiing and boarding in the world. Not only are there a number of fantastic descents in the valley such as the famous Pas de Chevres or Couoir des Posettes, but there is plenty of off piste within easy reach of lifts systems at Grands Montets and Le Tour. These are ideal places to brush up your skills or learn to ski many different types of snow, and enjoy being in a high mountain environment.
