Backcountry Snowboarding

If you are keen to get into some backcountry on your board but don't want to have the expense of hiring or buying a split board set up it can still be done!

Many great descents are accessible by lifts directly, or perhaps by lifts then a short amount of boot packing. It's also possible to take snowshoes on some trips. Using any of these it's easy to get to great snow for riding in the backcountry, or "sidecountry".

The main thing again is that the group is made up entirely of snowboarders so that there are no compromises on routes and timing. The guide may sometimes be on skis for easier group supervision, but any guides will be boarders too and will be able to pick a line accordingly.
