Ric Potter

Ric started climbing as a teenager in 1980, and since then has climbed and mountaineered all over the world, including extensively all over the Alps and other areas of Europe, Africa, Asia and the Americas. He has made first ascents in the Andes and in the Himalayas.

Ric has worked as professional mountain guide and climbing instructor since 1991. His professional guiding experience ranges from instructing at the National Mountain Centres in the UK to high altitude guiding.
He has been a UIAGM Guide since 2002 and an MIC holder since 1994.

As well as running RPM Guiding, Ric is a co-director of Llanberis Guides Ltd www.llanberisguides.com, a North Wales based guiding agency.

Kate Potter

Kate is a climber, mountaineer and skier, who is also an experienced organiser and adminstrator.

As well as running the RPM office, Kate founded and organised the Llanberis Mountain Film Festival and the Occasional Cinema film club. In a past life Kate organised a number of events such as "Chiaroscuro", a large multi media event featuring music, artwork and technology-based creative projects.

Ric & Kate live in the Chamonix valley in the French Alps with their two children.
